Daley - The death of Mrs. Nora Daley wife of the late Robert(Bud) Daley of Miramichi, occurred on Monday August 30th at Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 85. She was a retired school teacher.
Born in Douglastown N.B., she was the daughter of the late Vincent McKinnon and Catherine (Wood) McKinnon
Nora is survived by sons, Robert (Barb) of Douglastown and Paul (Kathy) of Belledune; daughters Carol Crandall(Gordie) of Prosser Brook, Mary Savage(Terry), Betty Theriault both of Miramichi, and Nora Pond (Steve) of London Ontario, brother Paul(Pauline )McKinnon of Clyde River, PEl, fourteen Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren.
The family received visitors at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi on Wednesday September 1, 2010 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral was held Thursday September 2nd from St Michael's Basilica at 11 :00 am with Fr. John Fraser officiating .. Interment took place at St. Michael's Parish cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were Grandsons: Mark and Peter Crandall, Jeffery Savage, Christopher Pond, Liam Theriault, Timmy,Robbie and Matthew Daley.
Honorary Pallbearers were Arthur McKinnon, Nick McKinnon, Aloysius McKinnon, Colin Savage, Kathy McKinnon, Lynn Ogilvie, Linda Trevors, Theresa Johnston and Celina Preston.
Hymns were sung by St. Samuel's Parish Choir Douglastown accompanied by organist Daughter-in -law Barb Daley .. Readers were Granddaughters Heather and Maggie Daley; Prayer of the Faithful By Granddaughter Sarah Pond; and Eulogy was given by Grandson Jeffery Savage and Granddaughter Laura Dawson.
In Nora's memory donations could be made to Mount Saint Joseph or memorial of ones choice.
