Buy A Calendar, Support School in Africa

Miramichiers, Sheldon Preston and Kim Doucette will be at Northumberland Square tomorrow selling copies of the 2007 calendar they made to support Nakitokolo Primary School in Uganda. An orphanage is needed, as are beds, books and classrooms and much more. 100% of sales will go to the school and its several children. As a bonus, with every purchase of a calendar, you will be entered into a draw for a 27” flat screen TV. You can find Sheldon and Kim at Northumberland Square Oct. 14 & 28, as well as Nov. 18 & 25 & Dec. 9 and 22, Scholten’s Grocery or City Limits Esso October 29, Nov. 11, Dec. 8, 10 & 23, Beaubear Co-op during the week of Dec. 4 to 9. Water Street is Celebrating!

Water Street was completely revamped this summer with a lot of work done on the streets. Last week they celebrated the completion with many activities including a car show, entertainment, sidewalk sales, street dance, a laser light show, hula hoop competitions and of course the County Crier.

If you haven't been to Water Street lately, you should go see how nice it looks down there.
