2020 Île Beaubears Island Speaker Series - Johannes Bosma - 1955: The Miramichi Welcomes The Bosma Family


During the occupation of Holland in World War II, Moetsche and Uilke Bosma married. In 1955, their family emigrated to Canada and were welcomed to the Miramichi.

The Friends of Île Beaubears Island will once again host Miramichi historians and individuals in a Speaker Series during the month of February.

These presentations will be held at the Nelson Rural School Library (2nd Floor), 26 Saint Patrick’s Drive, in Nelson Miramichi, at 7pm on Monday and Thursday evenings throughout the month.

As well, these events are hosted by Nelson Rural School and sponsored by The Friends of Île Beaubears Island.
