Mr. Merlin James Jardine, husband of Pam Jardine of Warwick Settlement passed away Saturday July 17th, 2010 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 57. Born in Warwick, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Bertha (Matchett) Jardine. He was a carpenter for Sunny Corner Enterprises. He was a member of the Local 1386 Carpenter's Union,member of St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, and a former member of Renous Minor Hockey Association.

Besides his wife Pam, he is survived by one daughter, Melanie Mullin (Darren) of Red Bank, one son, Kendall Jardine of Renous, four sisters, Sally Donovan of Warwick, Sharon Blackmore (Vernon) of Cassillis, Connie Noel (Michael) of Miramichi, Brenda Gillespie (Brian) of Warwick, four brothers, Glenn (Kathy) Jardine, Randy (Nettie) Jardine, Ross Jardine and Colin Jardine all of Warwick, four grandchildren, Devin, Dallas, Kendra and Kenzie, one step grandchild, Dillen, special niece and nephew, Carly and Zachary and several other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law Austin, his father and mother in-law, Eugene and Eileen Hallihan, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Merlin James Jardine will be resting at St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, with visitation on Monday evening from 7-9 and Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 21st, 2010 at 11 a.m. from St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, with Monsignor Joseph Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. At the request of the family donations to NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Cemetery or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated.
