Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home or the Wesley United Church Cemetery Fund
The death of Mary Kathryn Matchett of Mount Saint Joseph and formerly of Curventon, NB occurred at the nursing home on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the age of 87. Born in Laketon, NB, Mary Kathryn was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Daigle) Vautour.
Mary Kathryn was a homemaker, member of the Ladies Auxially and Royal Canadian Legion Br. # 10 Newcastle, and a former member of the Ladies Auxiallary BR. # 90, Sunny Corner.
Mary Kathryn is survived by five daughters: Frances Howe (Tom) of Whitbourne, NF, Pauline Matchett (Hubert Kearley) of St.John’s NF, Shirley Hambrook(Paul) of Miramichi, NB, Angela Matchett of Calgary, AB and Agnes Matchett of Campbell River, BC; eight sons: Reginald (Eliza) of Whitbourne, NF, Gregory(Susan) of Moncton, NB, Kenny (Regina) of Miramichi, NB, Eric(Betty) of Grand Prairie, AB, Alvin (Debby) of Calgary, AB, Sydney (Linda) of Trout Brook, NB, Douglas (Janice) of Toronto, ON and Leonard of Calgary AB; 42 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mary Kathryn was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Predeceased by three sons: Ivan, Steven(Sappy) and Dwight.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 and Thursday from 2-4. Funeral service will be held from the Wesley United Church, Trout Brook on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 7 PM with Rev Blair Whyte officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley United Church Cemetery.
In Mary Kathryn’s memory a donation may be made to Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home or the Wesley United Church Cemetery Fund.
