Mr. Gerald Eugene Hallihan, husband of the late Margaret Hallihan of Route 108 Renous NB, passed away Wednesday October 11, 2017 at Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 75.
Born in Renous NB, he was the son of the late Eugene and Eileen (Donovan) Hallihan. He was retired from Heath Steel Mines, a member of St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, member of Parish Council, member of Knights of Columbus, Military Reserve Cadets, treasurer Renous Recreation Center, treasurer Renous Trappers Council, member Sutton Brook singers, member of Liberal Association NB, member of Miramichi Salmon Association, Hunter Education Fireman & Safety Instructor, NB Trappers & Fur Harvester Federation, also was an avid guide and hunter.
He is survived by three sisters, Marilyn Hare (Billy) of Warwick, Jeannie Hallihan (Leonard) of Renous and Pam Jardine (Late Merlin) of Warwick, three brothers, Tom Hallihan (Carmel) of Renous, Allison Hallihan (Heather) of Lockstead Road and Kim Hallihan (Joan) of Renous.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Margaret and his son Michael.
Mr. Gerald Eugene Hallihan is resting at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, with visitation on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 14, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Vincent Donovan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
