Event Details - The Miramichi A Ship Building Legacy

This November, Character Matters Miramichi, with the support of the Scottish Heritage Association, are pleased to present "The Miramichi – A Shipbuilding Legacy," a two-act play exploring the early life of William Davidson. The founder of Miramichi’s first English speaking settlement, Davidson was a somewhat controversial man, born into a world rife with political and religious conflicts. He would navigate his personal life through some very wild waters, and create a new identity for the new world.

The play, an original script written by star Thomas Daley, features a cast of local performers under Daley’s own direction, and explores the themes of family tension, small town gossip and the all consuming desire for success; topics that are as relevant today as they were 250 years ago.

Join us for a memorable voyage on stage. Saturday, November 11th at 7pm and Sunday, November 12th at 2pm at Saint James & Saint John United Church Centre Miramichi. Bring your sweet tooth and sample a selection of desserts for our fine local bakeries.
