Mr. Wilfred James Pond husband of Christel (Gindner) Pond of Kierstead Drive, Miramichi, passed away Sunday April 27, 2014 at Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Ludlow, NB, he was the son of the late Burton and Doris (Hovey) Pond. He was a retired from Canadian Armed Forces, RCEME corps. He later was an Air Craft Maintenance Engineer until his illness and a member of C.O.P.A, he also played with the Miramichi Fiddlers.

Besides his wife Christel, he is survived by two daughters, Loretta McPhee (Donnie) of Fredericton and Danette Pond (George) of Prince George BC, two sons, Michael (Maureen) of Vancouver and Roger also of Vancouver, four sisters, Hazel McCloskey of Fredericton, Ethel Wilson of Fredericton, Elma Serre of Chapleau ON and Carol O’Donnell of Carroll’s Crossing NB, one brother Merlin Pond of New Bandon, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday May 3, 2014 from 2-4 at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi.
