Patricia Marie (Fournier) Bryenton
March 4, 1940 – March 28, 2021
It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia Marie (Fournier) Bryenton announces the passing of our dear mother and grandmother following a courageous battle with the debilitating effects of dementia.
Patricia was born in Beaverbrook Station, NB on March 4, 1940, the second youngest of nine children to parents, Wilfred and Alice Fournier. Patricia graduated from Saint Mary’s Convent in 1959 and with honors from Saint Michael’s Academy in 1960. She was well known as a member of Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church community, and as the long-time receptionist for Dr. Benjamin Luke.
Besides her family, friends and faith, Patricia loved music and loved to dance! She could be found dancing the nights away at Ritchie Wharf almost every evening during the summer months. Until no longer possible due to ill health, her toe-tapping continued to entertain the staff at Mount St Joseph’s and Losier Hall.
Besides her parents, Patricia was pre-deceased by her husband, William (Bill) Bryenton, Jr., her brothers Ernest Fournier and Wilfred (Jr) Fournier, and her sisters Adele Jagoe, Theresa Fallon, and Rita Babineau.
Left to mourn are her children, Paula (Ken) Yvonne and Thomas (Jennifer) Bryenton; her grandchildren, Alicia Yvonne (Alex Pate); Alex Yvonne (Kayla Trafton); Emma, Maya and Jessa Bryenton; her great-grandchildren Harrison Pate, baby Pate and baby Yvonne; her sister Rena Kenny; her brothers, Joe (Mae) Fournier and Eric (Carolyn) Fournier; her sisters-in-law, Carrie Fournier and Dorean Boss (Stephen Rhodes); as well as many nieces, nephews and life-long friends and neighbors.
The family expresses our sincere thanks to Fr. Creamer and Losier Hall (Brennan Court) staff, whose support allowed mom to be comfortable until her last breaths. In addition, special thanks to friends and neighbors whose kind visits and generosity were a great source of comfort.
Patricia Marie Bryenton is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy with a public visitation on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held Thursday April 1st at 11 a.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Father John Keoughan officiating.
